About Us
Streamlining The Border Crossing Process
The NUSCBA works close in hand with the Fresh Produce Association of the Americas located and staffed in Nogales, AZ, as well as the Association of Maquilas of Sonora located and staffed in Nogales, Sonora, Mexico. Our communication with them and Customs and Border Protection helps identify their needs in crossing the border and streamline the crossing process at the Nogales port of entry.
Creating More Jobs At The Mariposa Port
NUSCBA also works closely with the Greater Nogales Santa Cruz County Port Authority who spearheaded the $240 million effort to expand the Mariposa Port of Entry. The modernized port was executed in four phases and completed in August 2014. The Mariposa Land Port of Entry today comprises 270,000 square feet of buildings and inspection facilities. Supporting the port expansion enhances our economic development and helps create more jobs in our communities.
Supporting Local Industry
The NUSCBA supports the Fresh Produce Association and the Association of Maquilas of Sonora with monetary contributions to assist them in reaching their goals for their industry purposes and social services they undertake. The NUSCBA also contributes money to the Nogales Santa Cruz County Port Authority to help promote the port of Nogales, AZ. The NUSCBA supports these associations as it is vital that these industries have the proper facilities to get their shipments across efficiently and help keep and expand the U.S. Customs and Border Protection clearance business in Nogales, AZ and Nogales, Sonora, Mexico.
Serving & Supporting The Community
The NUSCBA will continue to support these associations so that we may continue to provide the highest service at this port and keep this port growing. The NUSCBA is also helping to fund a study to improve rail crossing at the port of Nogales, AZ.
The NUSCBA is also committed to supporting the community. Since 2012, the NUSCBA has contributed substantially to various charities and sponsored numerous events in the community.
